App-declared Custom URI Scheme Redirection is a concept supported by most major mobile and desktop computing platforms for inter-app communication via URIs by allowing apps to register custom URI schemes.

When the system browser or another native application attempts to follow a URI with a custom URI scheme, the native application that registered the URI is launched to handle the request.
