Overview#
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is intelligence exhibited by machines.Artificial Intelligence has no single definition and is considered a buzzword
Artificial Intelligence research defines itself as the study of "intelligent agents": any device that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chance of success at some goal.
Colloquially, the term "artificial intelligence" is applied when a machine mimics "cognitive" functions that humans associate with other human minds, such as "learning" and "problem solving"
Perhaps we could imply that for most purposes, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is anytime a machine "creates" an Algorithm for itself.
Artificial Intelligence is Inconsistent#
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and definitions and wording is extremely inconsistent and difficult to follow.Artificial Intelligence is the broader concept of machines being able to carry out tasks in a way that we would consider "smart".
Machine Learning is a current application of Artificial Intelligence based around the idea that we should really just be able to give machines access to data and let them learn for themselves. [3]
