[{$pagename}] is a [DirXML Driver] with a terrible name!
The [{$pagename}] driver requires a change-log module to be present in the [EDirectory] server. The change-log module cannot coexist with the [DirXML Engine].
So this is to connect an [EDirectory] instance which has no [DirXML Engine] to the [IDV].
The change-log module provides change notification for the driver's [Publisher Channel]. The data flow between the bidirectional eDirectory driver and the Identity Vault is controlled by filters and policies that are in place for the bidirectional eDirectory driver.
If you need to connect to an [DirXML Engine] with another [DirXML Engine], you must use the traditional [EdirToEdir] driver.
