When the JVM is changed from one minor version to another, you will likely encounter issues.

! [Vrdim] Not Loading
When we upgraded from eDirectory 8.8.8 to 8.8.8.4, the JVM changed from 1.6_? to 1.7_? and we encountered these issues.
We had trouble with [Vrdim] loading and found it was related to [Java Versions And Running Programs].
!! Customization Issues
There are also a couple of customization done a that need to be checked and tested.
! Custom Jars
Must confirm they will execute under the new JVM.
! Custom [Certificates]
As the replacement of the JVM causes the /opt/novell/eDirectory/lib64/nds-modules/jre/lib/security/cacerts file, any Custom [Certificates] will need to be re-added to the keystore.
!! When Does the [{$pagename}] Change
We know it changed in [DirXML 4.0.2.1 SE|DirXML 4.0.2.1] and any later patches.
It also changed with [EDirectory 8.8.8.4|EDirectory 8.8.8.4 (20805.07)].
