The LDAP assertion control is a type of [supportedControl] that may be used to perform an operation only if the target entry matches a given assertion filter. It may be used in conjunction with [Compare Request], [Delete Request], [Modify Request], [ModifyDNRequest], and [searchRequest] operations.
The LDAP assertion control is described in [RFC 4528|https://opends.dev.java.net/public/standards/rfc4528.txt] and has an OID of 1.3.6.1.1.12. The value of the control should be encoded as an [LDAP SearchFilter].
