A [{$pagename}] definition includes an [OID] for the [matchingRule] that it applies to and a list of the names or [OID]s of the attribute types that may be used in conjunction with that [matchingRule]. If an attribute is not included in this list, then it cannot be used in conjunction with the associated [matchingRule]. If there is no [{$pagename}] defined for a given [matchingRule], then it should be assumed that the [matchingRule] can be used with any attribute type.
The set of [{$pagename}]s defined in the server may be determined by retrieving the [matchingRuleUse] attribute of the [SubschemaSubentry].
