[{$pagename}] [protocol] is used to create, update and delete posts on one's own [DNS Domain] using third-party clients.
[Web] [apps] and [native apps|Native application] (e.g., [IOS], [Android]) can use [{$pagename}] to post and edit articles, short notes, comments, likes, photos, events or other kinds of posts on your own [website].
[{$pagename}] specification was contributed to the [W3C] from the [IndieWeb community|https://indieweb.org/ |target='_blank']. More history and evolution of Micropub can be found on the IndieWeb wiki.[2]
The [{$pagename}] vocabulary is derived directly from the [Microformats] vocabulary.
[{$pagename}] is meant to be a serialization of Microformats that can be submitted as an [HTTP POST].
The method for developing new [{$pagename}] vocabularies is to look at the Microformats representation and work backwards.
