[{$pagename}] ([NDS]) are references to typically Older versions of [EDirectory] which were based on the [RECMAN] [database] and the newer versions called [EDirectory] are based on [FLAIM] (same underlying [database] that GW used).
[{$pagename}] use the [NDS] [Protocol] and [LDAP] for client communication.
[NDS] version numbers look like 6.xx, 7.xx or 8.xx, whereas [eDirectory] numbers are like 10552.30 and so on.
