The Linux-Unix driver can support a large number of hosts and is more secure and robust than NIS.
The objective of this project was to implement an Identity Vault (IDV) and manage the linux-Unix users form the IDV.
One of the requirements was to be able to provide support for existing (NIX) users and groups with minimal impact, while creating an environment that would support the new methodology.
