Overview#
OMSyntax is used as part of specifying the syntax of an attribute. See MS-ADTS section 3.1.1.2.2.2, LDAP Representation, for information on how this object is used by the Active Directory service.Microsoft Active Directory uses three AttributeTypes that identify the syntax of the AttributeType:
OMSyntax is a REQUIRED INTEGER value for an AttributeType within Microsoft Active Directory which he XDS/XOM syntax.

Version-Specific Behavior: First implemented on Windows 2000 Server operating system.
The schemaFlagsEx attribute was added to this attribute definition in Windows Server 2008 operating system.
