Time sync

Time Sync#

The Time sync is an EDirectory Background Processes that provides Time synchronization.

Although Time sync is not an eDirectory process, Why is Time Important is typically handled by the underlying Operating System.

The underlying Time synchronization mechanism is not important as long as the eDirectory servers are, in fact, synchronized. However, with OES Linux, Time synchronization is normally achieved with the NTP daemon.

Many people use NTP however, others have been using SNTP to maintain Time sync.

You can Verify Time is Synchronized using Ndsrepair.
