Attestation when used in reference to a Credential is referred to as Authentication

Attestation is simply a Verification or Validation of some data and terms can be used interchangeably.

Direct Anonymous Attestation (DAA)#

Direct Anonymous Attestation (DAA) is a Cryptographic Primitive which enables remote authentication of a Trusted Platform Module whilst preserving privacy of the Local device's user.
