Overview#

Biometric Enrollment is the process of capturing Biometric data for the Biometric Template to which comparisons will be performed later.

During the Biometric Enrollment, a Natural Person's Biometric Data is:

• captured from a Biometric Sensor to obtain a Biometric Sample
• The Biometric Sample undergoes Biometric Sample Processing to create a Biometric Token
• The Biometric Token is then placed in is placed in a Biometric Data Store as a Biometric Template

Often several Biometric Templates may be obtained and stored. As an Example Most Fingerprint recognition systems use more than one fingerprint (each stored as a separate Biometric Templates) so the Natural Person can use several of their fingers as an Authentication Factor.
