Overview#

Computing platform (or Platform or Stack) is, typically a reference to, a collection of computing Resources which usually includes:

• Hardware
• Operating System
• Programming Language
• Middleware and or HTTP Service
• Application

LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL PHP) is probably the best known but the combinations are limitless.

Computing platform is often related to Platform as a Service or some Orchestration Service or using a Continuous Delivery process.
