Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP) is a specialized web transfer protocol for use with input-constrained device and constrained networks in the Internet Of Things.

Constrained Application Protocol is designed for machine-to-machine (M2M) applications such as smart energy and building automation.

Constrained Application Protocol is defined in RFC 7252

Constrained Application Protocol uses pre-Shared Key Ciphersuites for Transport Layer Security (TLS)
