Overview#

Directory Enabled Networks (DEN) A data model that is the LDAP mapping of CIM (the Common Information Model). RFC 3198

Directory Enabled Networks's goals are to enable the deployment and use of policy by starting with common service and user concepts (defined in the information model), specifying their mapping/storage in an LDAP-based repository, and using these concepts in vendor/device-independent policy rules [DMTF]].

Directory Enabled Networks is not a product, or even a technology. Directory Enabled Networks is a specification that defines an information model.[1]
