Overview#
The set password-history
DXServer Command sets the maximum number of entries to retain in the history. This prevents the user from re-using these passwords.
CA Directory uses the operational attribute DxPwdHistory to maintain the password history.
This command has the following format:
set password-history = number-passwords | 0;
- number-passwords - Specifies the maximum number of passwords to retain in the history.
- 0 - (Default) Disables this feature.
Notes From Observations#
Appears DxPwdHistory is similar to
pwdHistory however, the format is not known.
Apparently, when you use the set password-history command to set to a value other than "0", the the DxPwdHistory holds the values for the password history.
