Overview#

Dynamic Authorization Management (DAM) is often referred to as "Entitlement Management", while others used the term of "Policy Management" which is a type of Access Control Models.

Dynamic Authorization Management is about externalizing authorization decisions outside of applications.[1]

Dynamic Authorization Management is often associated with XACML (eXtensible Access Control Markup Language). XACML in fact is a standard to implement Dynamic Authorization Management, but the concept is not be limited to XACML.
