Overview#

Elasticity, in Information Technology, is the degree to which a system is able use Scalability by provisioning and de-provisioning resources in an automatic manner, such that at each point in time the available resources match the current demand as closely as possible.

Elasticity includes Scalability but also the ability to reduce the number Resources currently in use.
