Overview#

Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA), in Cryptography, offers a variant of the Digital Signature Algorithm (DSA) which uses Elliptic Curve Cryptography.

The definition is really for mathematicians. But you can read about it boils down to the fact that we are better at breaking RSA Cryptography than we are at breaking Elliptic Curve Cryptography.
