Overview#

Epic is used within Agile practices and is a Big User Story

Epics are User Stories that are too large to be properly managed within a Product Backlog and may only be used by the Product Owner.

As an example; if the User Story is I want to throw a party then these might be broken down into several smaller User Stories:

• Shop for Party for Party
• Decorate the House for Party
• Cook Food for Party

And each of these User Stories would then be broken down into even smaller Agile Tasks
