Syslog Facility#

The primary logging for the FanOutDriver platform is sent to the Syslog Facility.

Enable debugging in asamplat.conf#

The DEBUGLOGFILE sttement does not not enable logging by default. You need to start the service with the -d command using DEBUGTOSTDOUT Statement or use the TRACEFILE Statement Add or edit the line to be similar to:

TRACEFILE /usr/local/ASAM/platdebug.log

You can find the Fanout Configuration File Location.

Valid Values Debug Mode#

List of Valid Values for Starting the Platform Receiver in Debug Mode. The documentation only mentions "dom" and "\*" . Other values can be used to get debug information:
