Overview #

A Global Configuration Variables is a DirXML Variable that gets its value from the Global Configuration Value (GCV) attribute that is defined for the DirXML-Driver or the driverset.

Global Configuration variables are by definition during run-time read-only and are only read at the startup of a driver.

A global variable may exist in one of two different scopes:

• Driver Scope - Identified by DirXML-Driver scope
• Driverset Scope - Identified by driverset scope
