Good ID (and GoodID) is a "concept" is based original work presented by Omidyar Network

2015 the United Nations agreed to include legal identification and birth registrations as a target under Sustainable Development Goal 16. United Nations foundational set of principles from 2016 that first articulated how national identity systems can be inclusively designed and governed, aiming for “Legal Identity for All” and achieving Sustainable Development Goal 16.9 by 2030.

2022 The GoodID website has now been archived and is no longer accessible. However, the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University will steward GoodID, through the #GoodID Twitter and Instagram channels.

Identification For Development (ID4D) has the goal is to accelerate inclusive growth and the achievement of a wide range of development outcomes by enabling all people to access more and better services and exercise their rights.
