Overview#
Google Cloud SQL is a
GCP Storage Product offering fully-managed
MySQL or
PostgreSQL in the
database service that is built on the strength and reliability of
Google’s infrastructure.
Google Cloud SQL uses reconfigured Virtual Machines to run databases.
Typical admin tasks are completely automated for you. For example,
- backups are done automatically
- Patch management is automatically.
- Setting up a replica is as simple as checking a checkbox.
When you create a Google Cloud SQL database, you specify how much space you need and how much CPU and RAM your database server needs. You only pay for the amount of resources you allocate.
