Overview#

The ideal "Charter" for the Identity and Access Management team within the Organizational Entity

Identity and Access Management charter is to determine technology and tool selection, project and maintenance activity prioritization, and the implementation of Best Practices, standards, guidelines, procedures and policies for the following:

• Passwords/Credentials - We should be Accountable (but not necessarily Responsible) for
  • all handling and storage of Passwords/Credentials
• Public Key Infrastructure - Certificates are Digital Identities
• Identity Lifecycle Management
• User Provisioning
• Identity and Access Management Auditing Monitoring Metrics Logging
• Group and Role Based Access Control Management
• Authentication including:
  • Internet of Things
  • Federated Identity Management
  • Cloud computing
  • Directory Services
• Authorization
  • Internet of Things
  • Federated Identity Management
  • Cloud computing
  • Directory Services
• Password Management
• Identity Cards and Photographs
• Emerging Identity and Access Management technologies as requested by the Organizational Entity
