[ISO 18092|Wikipedia:ISO/IEC_14443|target='_blank'] standard allows bidirectional communication between the data source and the [POS Terminal]. 

Although this can be used on cards, the primary advantage is expected to be for [Mobile Payment] that are sending [Contactless Chip Card] data. This allows for non-payment type messages, such as coupons, loyalty offers, to be delivered to the consumer’s phone.
