Overview#

Identification is any process that is able to distinguish (or perform Recognition) of a specific Digital Identity within a specific Context from the Anonymity Set to a given Level Of Assurance

Identification and Recognition are synonyms and can be used interchangeably.

Identification is NOT Authentication

Factors of Identification#

Your Identification is determined by all of these:

Relationship
- You are an employee at an Organizational Entity
- You are a Brother to a Siibling
- You are a Citizen of a Government Entity
- You are a Customer of an Organizational Entity
Attributes
- You were born on your Date Of Birth
- You have a Driver License Number
- You have a Degree
- Your NAME
Agents
- Your Lawyer
- Your Identity Provider (IDP)
- Your Mobile Device Application

Level Of Assurance #

Identification is always subject to a Level Of Assurance the the Third-party is willing to accept.

Credential Enrollment #

Credential Enrollment may require a high Level Of Assurance as to you Identification
