Overview#

LDAP Protocol Mechanisms are "officially" defined in the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) Considerations for the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) by RFC 4520.

LDAP provides Discovery Mechanism through a number of Root DSA-Specific Entry (DSE) attributes for discovery of protocol mechanisms identified by OIDs.
