MAINWAY is an National Security Agency (NSA) Government Data Store and analysis toolset for intercepted Internet metadata for hundreds of billions of Telecommunications calls made through the largest telephone carriers in the United States: AT&T and Verizon.

MAINWAY, according to Pulitzer Prize winning journalist James Risen, was the most important of the four components that comprised the ThinThread program.
