Microsoft® Management Console (MMC) is an extensible common presentation service for management applications used with Microsoft platforms.

The [MMC] uses "snap-ins" for various aspects of managing different functions.

The [Microsoft Active Directory] Users and Computers is the most commonly known "snap-in" and the administrator uses this snap-in to create and manage user and computer accounts, create and manage groups, add computers to a domain, manage domain controllers, manage organizational attributes. We have also seen this snap-in referred to as [ADUC]
