Mobile Connect is a secure universal log-in solution from GSMA which uses OpenID Connect and has a Working Group in the OpenID Foundation Mobile Operator Discovery, Registration & Authentication
Simply by matching the user to their mobile phone, Mobile Connect allows them to log-in to websites and applications quickly without the need to remember passwords and usernames.
Mobile Connect at the core, is an adapted version of the OpenID Connect protocol with the aim to create a federated Identity and global mobile identity Ecosystem .
Mobile Connect is a Federation where the Mobile Network Operator is connected to the GSMA Discovery Service and the Identity Gateway.
