Overview#

N4u.nds.dibdir is a setting in the nds.conf file that determines the location of the eDirectory DIB

By default, the value of this parameter is /var/opt/novell/eDirectory/data/dib.

To relocate the eDirectory DIB to a new partition when the current location has run out of space, we recommend you to use the N4u.nds.dibdir parameter.

If the eDirectory DIB is relocated to a new partition /space, the new value for this parameter is N4u.nds.dibdir=/space/data/dib.

This recommendation also applies when RFL, data, log, nds.conf, instances.<uid>, and binary files are moved to the new locations.
