Overview#
Nationality is a Legal Relationship between a Natural Person and a Country JurisdictionNationality implies a person has been born or is a citizenship within a Jurisdiction. Not all Nationality affords the jurisdiction over the Natural Person and affords the Natural Person the protection of the state (Jurisdiction).
By custom and international conventions, it is the right of each Jurisdiction to determine who its nationals are.
Nationality differs technically and legally from Citizenship, which is a different legal relationship between a Natural Person and a Jurisdiction as Nationality can include both citizens and non-citizens.
All Citizens are Nationals of the Jurisdiction, however; not all Nationals are Citizens; for example Aliens who are visiting a Country Jurisdiction.
