Offline Data Authentication is a Cryptography check to validate the Payment Card using Public Key Cryptography at the POS Terminal.

Offline Data Authentication uses RSA Public Key Infrastructure to protect against counterfeit or skimming.

Three forms of Offline Data Authentication that are defined by EMV:

• SDA
• DDA
• CDA.
