eDirectory and Password Life Time#
The "Password Life Time" section within
imanager under the
Password Policy allows you to Password Life Time as shown below:
Number of days before password can be changed (0-365)#
The "Number of days before password can be changed" option restricts the user from changing their
Universal Password before the specified time has elapsed. For
example, if this value is set to 30, a user must keep the same password for 30 days before he or she can change it.
Number of days before password expires (0-365)#
"Number of days before password expires" causes a user’s
password to expire after a specified time has elapsed. For
example, if this value is set to 90, a user's password expires 90 days after it has been set.
If you enable Grace Logins, the user can log in with the expired password the specified number of times. Also, if you have not selected the Limit Grace Logins option, unlimited grace logins are allowed.
A value of "0" will not allow any Grace Logins.
Limit the number of Grace Logins allowed (0-254)#
Limit the number of
Grace Logins allowed indicates that when the
password expires, the number of
Grace Logins indicates how many times a user is allowed to login to
eDirectory by using the
expired password.
