Overview#

Penetration Test are designed to achieve a specific, attacker-simulated goal and SHOULD be used by customers who are already at their desired security posture.

Penetration Test often are defined by Teams:

• Red Teams represent the attackers and perform test the effectiveness of a security program.
• Blue Teams refer to the team that defends against both real attackers and Red Team.
• Purple Teams are ideally superfluous groups that exist to ensure and maximize the effectiveness of the Red Team and Blue team.

Red and Blue teams ideally work in perfect harmony with each other, as two hands that form the ability to clap.
