RIPEMD-160 is one variant of RIPEMD

RIPEMD-160 is a cryptographic Hash Function based upon the Merkle-Damgard construction and is used in the SHA256+RIPEMD-160 with ECDSA in the Bitcoin standard and on some other Bitcoin derived Cryptocurrency. SHA256+RIPEMD160 with ECDSA, which is much less likely to be broken.
