It appears that SLP on Solaris can use an identical configuration syntax as found on Linux; the only difference is the location of the file.

Solaris eDirectory servers work fine as a UA/SA with the NDSSlp package. However, using the Sun version of SLP, interoperability issues were encountered between it and the OpenSLP UA/SA/DA's and NDSSlp UA/SA's.
