Overview#

Structured Syntax Suffix are a "Suffix" for a Media-type as defined in RFC 6838 and should be in the IANA Registry IANA.MediaTypes !! Structured Syntax Suffix Example A Media-type "application/secevent+jwt" shows a Structured Syntax Suffix of "+jwt".

JSON Web Signature (JWS)#

When using JSON Web Signature (JWS) it is recommended the typ per the definition of "typ" in Section 4.1.9 of RFC 7515, it is RECOMMENDED that the "application/" prefix be omitted.
