Overview#

SupportedGroupingTypes is an Attribute found in the RootDSE which specifies grouping types they support listing the OID as values of the SupportedGroupingTypes attribute they support.

defined in the Internet Draft LDAPv3 Grouping of Related Operations

Attribute Definition#

The SupportedGroupingTypes AttributeTypes is defined as:

• OID of IANA-ASSIGNED-OID.7
• NAME: SupportedGroupingTypes
• DESC: supported types of groupings of operations
• EQUALITY: objectIdentifierMatch
• ORDERING:
• SYNTAX: 1.3.6.1.4.1.1466.115.121.1.38
• USAGE DSAOperation
• Extended Flags:
  • (only if present)!! EDirectory

In LDAP transaction support, the SupportedGroupingTypes and transactionGroupingType OIDs are the same (2.16.840.1.113719.1.27.103.7).
