Overview#

The System Partition The System partition keeps track of information specific to the local server.

This information is not synchronized with other servers in the tree. This is the partition that the Limber process operates on.

Information contained in the System Partition includes the following:

• Information on where the server is located in the eDirectory tree, including its typeful FDN (for example, CN=RH9-VM.O=Testing ).
• eDirectory indexes defined on the server.
• The state of background processes (including errors)

The Partition ID of the System partition is always 0.
