There must be more than 1,000 protocols to send messages over Internet Protocol Suite Applications and Mobile Network Applications all of which have well defined and Standards based Protocols. Yet here in 2017 we still are still adding more and more protocols to send a message.
Prompted by recent "news" of Rich Communication Services which are only for Mobile Devices and Facebook Messenger which has so many users.
