!!! How the UserAppStrings_XX.jar files work
The UserAppStrings_XX.jar are used for [Localization Novell User Application] or to simply change the messages.

After considerable study and consulting Novell employees, this was made much too hard.

When IDM is installed there are no UserAppStrings_XX.jar or property files used. The default resource strings are compiled within the java class files when User Application is installed.

All that is needed for this to happen is to create the correct properties and place the file in a Jar file maintaining the complete path as can be found from template can be obtained, after IDM is installed, from the ...\Novell\idm\l10n-resources\ folder.

Then these Jar files, which can only contain the "changed" properties files can be placed in the D:\Novell\idm\jboss\server\IDM\lib\ folder. This is the "preferred" method as there is no need to open or mess with the IDM.war file.!! More Information
