LDAPWiki: View the Available Controls

Overview#

You can View the Available Controls for your directory server by searching the rootDSE entry for the supportedControl attribute. Run the LDAPSEARCH command on the Root DSE entry.

Here is a LDAP Query Example to view the Available Controls on a particular LDAP Server:

$ ldapsearch -h localhost -p 1389 -b "" --searchScope base "(objectclass=*)" supportedControl dn:
