The default password filter Passfilt.dll This policy is NOT enabled by default.

Other Password Related Settings#

The following maybe easily altered regardless of the "Passwords Must Meet Complexity Requirements" setting:

• Minimum password length
• Maximum password age
• Minimum password age - set to 1 day by default
• Enforce password history (by number of passwords remembered)

The ability to enforce any other parameters requires a customized password filter.
