Overview#

EntryUUID attribute holds a server-assigned Universally Unique Identifier UUID for the entry.

EntryUUID is a Universally Unique Identifier.

Directory clients may use the EntryUUID to distinguish entries identified by a distinguished name or to locate an object after renaming.

Often depending on LDAP Server Implementation, this is a Virtual Attribute

Attribute Definition#

The EntryUUID AttributeTypes is defined as:

• OID of 1.3.6.1.1.16.4
• NAME: EntryUUID
• DESC: UUID of the entry
• EQUALITY: uuidMatch
• ORDERING: uuidOrderingMatch
• SYNTAX: 1.3.6.1.1.16.1
• SINGLE-VALUE
• NO-USER-MODIFICATION
