Overview#
OpenID Connect Backchannel Authentication is a
MODRNA specification for an
Authentication flow allows an Relying Party that knows the user's identifier to obtain tokens from the
OpenID Connect Provider where the user
consent is given at the user's
Authentication Device mediated by the
OpenID Connect Provider.
OpenID Connect Backchannel Authentication specifically addresses a Use case where the Relying Party needs to be the initiator of the user authentication flow and the end-user interaction from the consumption device is not needed.
